The health audit is an evaluation process developed by health professionals and related disciplines, which are based on the data recorded in the clinical records of patients with a specific purpose. Chronic kidney disease is a disease that affects the proper development of people, affects lifestyles and generates family problems, since these patients require the support of family, friends, society and the state to cope with the consequences of this sickness. This research work is of the utmost importance since it analyzes the relationship between health auditing and care for patients with chronic kidney disease, taking into account the role played by the family. The purpose of this study is to compile information on the importance of health auditing in the family environment during the care of patients with chronic kidney disease. For this, a bibliographic review methodology was used, taking as references 30 research papers published in indexed journals and repositories. It is understood that it is important to audit the comprehensive care provided by the IPS in charge of caring for people with CKD, including education for the person, family and caregivers, as well as follow-up and supervision at home, guaranteeing that the care in it are adequate, minimizing complications and therapeutic non-adherence.
