Toxoplasmosis is an infection produced by the parasite toxoplasma gondii, whose reservoir is the domestic cat. This infection is transmitted to humans by the dissemination of cat feces to the environment, causing serious complications in people with compromised immune system and in pregnant women causing congenital toxoplasmosis. Compliance with the clinical practice guideline (CPG) of congenital toxoplasmosis in Colombia in the last 20 years is of importance for the audit because it shows the application and adherence to the maternalperinatal population.
