Develar el afrontamiento del duelo en familiares que han sufrido pérdida de un ser querido en Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos de Montería. MATERIALES Y METODOS. Se realizo una investigación descriptiva cualitativa con enfoque fenomenológico. En este estudio se realizaron cinco entrevistas semiestructuradas, a personas que tuvieron una pérdida de un familiar en una unidad de cuidados intensivos. RESULTADOS. de la presente investigación surgieron tres categorías de análisis: el Sufrimiento de la familia empieza desde la hospitalización, el Afrontamiento del duelo, una pérdida que nunca se olvida, la participación de la familia debe ir más allá de recibir información sobre el pronóstico del ser querido. CONCLUSIÓN. Se estableció entonces que el proceso del duelo puede iniciar desde el ingreso a la unidad de cuidados intensivos, en donde comienzan a vivir situaciones generadoras de estrés que conllevan a la disminución del autocuidado de la persona, así mismo se identificó que el personal de salud brindo información sobre el estado de salud de su pariente la cual fue entendida por los participantes, asumiendo que la construcción del duelo puede comenzar desde el diagnóstico de la enfermedad.Publicación Acceso abierto Barreras de acceso en la consulta externa en pacientes con VIH en los últimos dos años(2020-06-14) Carriazo Lozano, Lizeth Johana; Cuadrado Banda, Jesús Eduardo; D´luyz González, Katherine; Orozco Valeta, MarthaThis scientific monograph was compiled using 41 scientific information documents as references to analyze the existing documentation about access barriers in outpatient care for HIV patients in the last 2 years. Through the complete development of the heuristic and hermeneutic phases it was found at the end of this analysis that the geographic, financial and administrative barriers in the care of HIV positive patients have been documented; Among the main barriers is the difficult access to health areas, exclusion of vulnerable population, difficulties with authorizations which would be related to the high costs of care, also the delay in appointments and medical tests for proper diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of their disease. In addition, there is evidence that there is a great variety of barriers perceived by patients, that can be considered of greater social and cultural impact that contribute to be bridges of discrimination in the community and their family environment preventing the success in the improvement of their quality of life, which leads to divergent feelings in the patients. Therefore, it is necessary to work on the prevention of infection by health professionals, raising awareness among the entire population to see the patient as a can develop in society, achieving healthy behavior changes and to limit barriers in medical services.Publicación Acceso abierto Barreras percibidas por las personas con discapacidad visual en la prestación de los servicios de salud, Montería 2020(2021-01-22) Pacheco de la Espriella, Yarledys; Sánchez Peralta, Doris Madolina; Orozco Valeta, MarthaIntroduction: Opportunities for visually impaired people are scarce and often do not have full enjoyment and enjoyment of their rights so it is necessary to identify the barriers, from their lived experiences. Objective: to characterize the barriers perceived by visually impaired people against the provision of health services in the city of Montería -Córdoba. Methodology: descriptive study with qualitative approach which makes it possible to approach social reality from non-quantitative data; as an information-gathering technique the semi-structured interview was used, until the level of information saturation was reached. The information obtained in the interviews was transcribed, narrative readings were made, content analysis was submitted, similarities and differences were grouped together, and eventually the formation of categories and subcategories was given. Results: The barriers perceived by visually impaired persons that are constituted in communicative, attitudinal and physical are evident. Changes in infrastructure, implementation of communication strategies and ongoing training of service personnel are relevant to their elimination. Conclusions: the research made it possible to understand the significance of the barriers faced by visually impaired persons in the provision of health services, revealing the lack of equity in health and care for that population, and also shows an unfavourable and unexplored situation, as well as the fundamental role of health workers in overcoming barriers.Publicación Restringido Cumplimiento de la guía de práctica clínica de la toxoplasmosis congénita en Colombia en los últimos veinte años(2020-07-08) Cogollo Jiménez, Shirly Johana; Díaz Restrepo, Edith Karina; Pérez Capachero, Marbel; Orozco Valeta, Martha; Amador Ahumada, ConcepciónToxoplasmosis is an infection produced by the parasite toxoplasma gondii, whose reservoir is the domestic cat. This infection is transmitted to humans by the dissemination of cat feces to the environment, causing serious complications in people with compromised immune system and in pregnant women causing congenital toxoplasmosis. Desde la academia hay gran compromiso en mejorar la calidad del cuidado de enfermería para la población de mujeres gestantes que tanto han padecido hasta ahora. el objetivo de este estudio es describir las experiencias de cuidado recibido por un grupo de mujeres atendidas en la urgencia obstétrica de una Institución de Salud de Segundo y Tercer Nivel de la ciudad de Montería. como conclusión se pudo identificar que la mujer no se visualizó como la protagonista de su propio proceso, por el contrario, se evidencio la cosificación de las mismas durante el trabajo de parto, parto y postparto. La información recibida por parte de las encuestadas no era la que esperaban, algunas veces recibían la información, pero no de forma asertiva y clara, algunas no entendían lo que se les trataba de decir y otras veces simplemente no respondían sus dudas. El parto es una experiencia única en cada mujer, es un proceso natural en el cual se ven confrontados distintos sentimientos y emociones, estos pueden ser positivos, pero también negativos.Publicación Acceso abierto Exposición laboral por plaguicidas en cultivadores de algodón: Valle del Sinú medio(2016-11-16) Hanna Lavalle, Mónica; Orozco Valeta, MarthaIn Latin America, Colombia is in the third place in the consumption of pesticides, keeping in mind that Cordoba is a department which economy is based on the agriculture and ranching. This investigation aims to describe the occupational pesticide exposure, organophosphates, organochlorines, pyrethroids and carbamates, used in cotton growing in the Valley of Middle Sinu in Colombia.It was used a descriptive cross-sectional study, with non-probability snowball sampling, and Acetylcholinesterase levels were determined in blood samples from study participants (187 employees). Also, a structured survey and a medical examination to determine possible complications was applied. According to the analysis of the results, age range with the highest number was 35 to 45 years (28.8%), the 52.41% are linked to the General System of Social Security in Health, trades sprayer and harvester commonly practiced with 62.3% and 31 55% respectively, about 90.37% showed normal levels of acetylcholinesterase, whereas 9.63% showed levels below normal (probably due to overexposure). It was concluded that no matter the time, the process of poisoning may occur in acute or chronic way, the inhibition of cholinesterase is common , but there is no consistent relationship between this and the clinical status of the patient.Publicación Acceso abierto Ser y parecer un enfermero: representaciones sociales de un grupo de hombres que ejercen la profesión de enfermería en Montería, Córdoba(2021-07-08) Benavides Cadrasco, Luisa Fernanda; Anaya, Aidee del Carmen; Orozco Valeta, MarthaOBJECTIVE. To analyze the social representations of a group of men who practice the nursing profession in the city of Monteria, department of Córdoba. MATERIALS AND METHOD. A qualitative, descriptive, exploratory research was carried out; oriented from the theory of social representations proposed by Moscovici and the content analysis technique proposed by Bardin was used for the analysis of the information. Given the current conditions of the pandemic, the participants were accessed through social contacts, using the snowball strategy. This study conducted 17 semi-structured interviews using the Google Meet platform with 13 nurses, between 26 and 53 years of age, with more than 5 years of work experience. RESULTS. Three categories of analysis emerged from this research: The perception that nurses have of the presence of men in the profession; gender stereotypes associated with the presence of men in nursing and the sexual division of labor in a feminized profession. CONCLUSION: The presence of men in the nursing profession has configured a series of social representations around their masculinity, in this study it was possible to show how the social representations of nurses are marked by gender discrimination, most of the participants They report having been excluded at some point in their working life, for the simple fact of being men, wit
