Human rights education is an aspect of great importance in the curricular processes of schools, so the school must provide itself with a strategy that allows the participation of the educational community and that especially students in all learning spaces can experience human rights, developing in them values that promote the achievement of peace, social cohesion and respect for human dignity. Therefore, this research defined as an objective to establish the curricular developments present in the education for the experience of human rights in the Educational Institution El Carito, Córdoba, Colombia. It was based on a type of qualitative descriptive research and required the understanding and analysis of the information obtained through documentary analysis and the interview, developed to obtain data for the purpose of evaluating curricular developments, the presence of human rights education in the aforementioned educational institution. The result was that institutional documents define mechanisms for the participation of the educational community, duties and rights, and participation in decision-making that allows human rights to be experienced in the institution. In addition, in the area of social sciences, pedagogical practices are developed that promote human rights among students, through transversal projects and the application of teaching strategies that guarantee the presence of human rights in the classroom. It was concluded that human rights are experienced through interaction and participation of all members, as a broad process of exchange of information, opinions and feelings expressed both with our verbal and non-verbal attitude.
