Resumen en inglés
This is a study of social representations about being a woman and sexual practices in female adolescents, seeking to identify what the meanings are that are specific to being a woman and sexual practices, carried out at the Escuela Normal Superior de Sahagún Córdoba Educational Institution; it was used under the logic of social representations, a theory proposed by Serge Moscovici and worked from a qualitative approach using the phenomenological method. The technique and instrument to collect the data was the semi-structured interview through an interview guide, which was applied to four key informants: female adolescents (between 10-15 years of age) with sexual experience. For the analysis of the informants, the key was applied the procedure of Martínez (2010): categorization, structuring, contrast and theorizing. The findings were structured in two main categories: being a woman and sexual practices; the results related to the attention to knowledge about being a woman, which in some cases related to sexual obligation to her partner and her denial of sexual practices is classified as infidelity, leading to physical and verbal abuse. Finally, the report of this research is to understand social representations to suggest looking for ways to approach the subject from the institutional framework.
