Resumen en inglés
Introduction. Covid19 changed the lives of people worldwide. The governments of the world were forced to implement strategies to prevent the spread of this virus through Mandatory Social Distancing. For this reason, the potential consequences of Covid 19 on the mental health of the population are a concern, people could be exposed to high levels of stress as a result of confinement, lack of social interaction, and unemployment. Target. Establish the association between the level of anxiety in positive Covid 19 patients and their conditions of mandatory isolation, from an IPS in Montería, 2021. Methodology. Correlational and prospective analytical study with a quantitative approach, taking into account that sociodemographic variables that will be correlated will be identified. Results. The data obtained in the study showed that the people who complied with all the isolation measures presented a higher percentage of high levels of anxiety, probably due to physical separation from family and friends, which causes feelings of loneliness, added to other factors such as unemployment or concern about the state of health. However, it was also an opportunity to evaluate health systems, prioritize mental health, and work on the prevention of mental illnesses or disorders in all age groups and populations. Keywords: Anxiety, home isolation, Covid19.
