The research project is a multi-temporal analysis of the coastline between Puerto Escondido (Córdoba) and Turbo (Antioquia) between the years 1990 and 2019, which is part of the study of geography and also within the component of land management. It was carried out with the aim of understanding how the coast has behaved in the face of erosion and accretion processes, taking into account erosion rates generated by the processing of longitudinal data between one coast line and another; taking into account the theory of profile variation proposed by Escofet and Bravo Peña in 2007. In addition, the natural and anthropic factors that lead to the dynamics of the coastline are described, as well as the consequences of these dynamics, without leaving aside the ecosystem approach that should be taken; the analyses and results contribute to generating a general characterization of the coast and the management that should be given to these strategic areas that provide environmental and economic services.
