This qualitative study sought to explore how Duolingo helped develop the four language skills reading writing, listening, reading and speaking in a group of students. We used action research by first analyzing students initial level of English and another test at the end of the project to understand students ´progress and what they have learned. This study was conducted at a private school called la Salle in Monteria, Córdoba, Colombia, particularly with second graders. After analyzing the data gathered, it was concluded that students ‘motivation towards English learning increased due to information and communication technologies.
