Publicación Acceso abierto Análisis costo-beneficio de la implementación de Sistemas de Gestión de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo en empresas del sector de la construcción en Colombia- revisión de literatura(2021-04-07) Otero Mercado, Antonio José; Tapiero Millan, Lenny Daniela; Ararat Herrera, Jaime AndrésThis monograph seeks to study the accident rate data of companies in the construction sector in Colombia and carry out and analysis based on documentary sources on the cost-benefit relationship of implementing occupational health and safety management systems based on the ISO 45001 standard, to reduce accidents in the workplace, establishing in employers that the adoption of such systems represent only a small investment in relation to what it would be to respond for a worker who contracted an accident or a disease in the workplace. However, one of the main tasks of industrial health and safety is to minimize its harmful effects on the health of workers. The purpose of this measurement is to evaluate the concentration of dust produced in the crushing process of rajón stone, work to which the workers of the company VIASCON S.A.S. are exposed. For this, the gravimetric method was used, which consists of analyzing the amount of an element, in this case the dust present in a sample, in the TSQUEST 3M EVM7 filters placed in the environmental monitor for particulate material, provided by the Industrial Engineering Laboratory. from the University of Córdoba.Publicación Acceso abierto Evaluación ocupacional de los niveles de iluminación y propuesta de mejora en la distribución de sistemas de iluminación general en el interior del área de bodega de la empresa Constructora Pc & Pg S.A.S en la ciudad de Montería, Córdoba(2022-08-29) Fajardo Sánchez, Tatiana Vanessa; Taba Mejía, Leonardo Jabib; Escudero Pérez, Jorge LuísThe objective of this research is to evaluate the lighting levels in the equipment and tool activation warehouse of the company Constructora Pc & Pg S.A.S, which allow making recommendations, considering the permissible limits of the Technical Regulation of lighting and Public Lighting, in order to obtain optimal levels of lighting, required in the worker's task and thus prevent visual health risks, improve productivity and contribute to their performance. For this, a deductive method was achieved, where qualitative and quantitative information was gathered by detection through the Luxmeter, allowing to make comparisons between the values obtained and those established by resolution 180540 of 2010 numeral 410.1 literal a. (luminance levels). The results show that the uniformity of lighting in the study area does not conform to the standard of the type of building, location and visual task, in the case of this study as a "Warehouse area". After analyzing the data collected, it is suggested a new distribution of the luminaires in the warehouse area, as well as control and regulation activities to improve the current conditions.Publicación Acceso abierto Incidencia de la pandemia del covid-19 en el estrés laboral de los trabajadores de la IPS salud Tierralta S.A.S.(2021-07-09) Rivero Ramos, Yenifer del Carmen; Donado García, Merly Dominga; Vergara Sornoza, Mirid CristinaThe general objective of this research was to determine the incidence of the covid-19 pandemic in the work stress of IPS Salud Tierralta S.A.S. workers. According to the World Health Organization - WHO (2016), work stress "is the reaction that an individual may have to work demands and pressures that do not match their knowledge and abilities, and that test their ability to cope with situation". A descriptive and cross-sectional investigation was carried out; because it allowed to detail the incidence of the Covid-19 pandemic in the work stress of health workers, through the measurement of the variables of interest. The study was carried out at the facilities of the IPS Salud Tierralta SAS, where the universe was made up of the entity's workforce, and the sample was taken with a simple random sampling, since all workers had the same probability of being chosen. The sample consisted of 20 health workers who work in the IPS Salud Tierralta SAS, it was found that the average age of these workers is 32 years, with a standard deviation (SD) of ± 7.96 years, the minimum age was 22 years, while the maximum was 51 years. It was found that 70% of IPS workers are emotionally exhausted from their work, 80% claim to feel tired at the end of the working day. It was found that 30% presented medium stress, followed by those who had a test score of 60, which meant high stress (20%) as well as those who showed mild stress (20%), 5% considered that they presented high stress, those who are recommended to seek help, the rest (25%) do not presented any stress. The mental health of health professionals in the exercise of their functions is compromised by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, with professionals on the front line of battle against the virus being particularly affected, but with values below those of the general population.Publicación Acceso abierto Utilización del índice de exposición biológica (bei) para la protección de la salud de los trabajadores: análisis en minería aurífera(2021-08-11) Negrete Anaya, Melissa Sofía; Alba Rocío Ramirez RodriguezThe mining sector has risks of various kinds, among which the chemical risk due to exposure to mercury in amalgam stands out. Especially, artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASM) is a sector with a deficit in terms of protecting the health of miners, due to lack of security controls and lack of compliance with legal requirements. Industrial hygiene measurements are an instrument for the subsequent evaluation and assessment of risk, as well as the establishment of measures to reduce and control them. Biomonitoring of chemicals in the workplace provides an integrated characterization of exposure and is closely related to health effects. However, this tool has been underused, especially in countries like Colombia, where ASM is a large sector. A bibliographic review was carried out in databases of academic journals, in order to show cases of success in the use of biomonitoring in the gold mining sector, as well as the use of measures to reduce exposure to mercury in said activity. Based on this, a series of recommendations were made, using the hierarchy of controls. The main recommendations were related to alternative techniques to mercury, techniques that replace mercury, the use of processing centers, education and training personal protection elements that are commensurate with the task.
