Publicación Acceso abierto Internship at Cristobal Colon School(2020-11-20) Marulanda Arrieta, Emanuel; Nieto, JaimeThe purpose of this report is to highlight the positive and negative aspects of my professional and personal experiences obtained during an internship process at the Cristóbal Colón School located in Monteria-Córdoba as an English teacher. This internship intended to enhance sixth grader's vocabulary and oral competence through different approaches and strategies, Using a WhatsApp group, online classes through different apps, and the institutional platform. The approaches/strategies implemented were communicative language teaching, flipped learning, gamification, and task-based language teaching. Additionally, a lesson plan is described. To finish, this report highlights conclusions, the recommendation and limitations of the whole experience.Publicación Acceso abierto Internship at saber pro at the University of Cordoba(2020-12-04) Monterroza Piedrahita, Juliana; Paz Wechek, MartaThis internship was carried out at University of Córdoba in the program of Saber Pro. The purpose of this internship is to strengthen students' abilities to answer questions related to communicative competence in English from the Saber Pro test. Furthermore, the internship helped me to get experience of teaching English with university students and improve my English skills. During this experience teaching people of my age or older, I realized the importance of choosing an accurate methodology. I worked with last semester students from Different careers at University of Córdoba, I was assigned 3 groups per month from different careers, they were around 20 to 45 students per group. Besides, I took it as an opportunity to motivate non-English learners to learn English and show them how important it is to know another language. In this way, making use of new strategies and using technology, they could see English as something interesting and not as they have always considered it a compulsory and boring subject.Publicación Acceso abierto Internship at saber pro cross curricular competences: english course(2021-08-03) Padilla Flórez, Samir José; Racero Diz, José MaríaThis report describes the internship conducted at Cross Curricular Competences’ courses in the frame of Saber Pro University of Cordoba Institutional Program. The main purpose of this internship is to help students to develop test taking skills to cope with the English section of the aforementioned Board Examinations and therefore with the saber-pro results for University of Córdoba by training candidates in their reading skills and specific strategies, to address more accurately the English section of the test. This internship was implemented applying E-learning method and flipped learning, which used synchronous sessions to guide students about the test as well as interactive activities and discussions about the topics and learning guides for the asynchronous sessions. The implementation of technological devices was valuable to carry out the process. Finally, it discusses the findings, personal learning, conclusions and recommendations, and limitations that were during this meaningful process.Publicación Acceso abierto Internship at saber pro preparation courses at University of Cordoba(2020-12-07) Erazo Sánchez, María Fernanda; Racero Diz, José MaríaDue to the pandemic for COVID-19 education has been through many changes and adjustments in order to adapt the traditional face-to-face learning and teaching to the virtual education field; a new experience for many students and educators. Therefore, Universidad de Córdoba implemented a new way for interns to develop their praxis during the Internship whose main purpose is to prepare undergraduate candidates from the university to develop and refine skills to cope with the Saber Pro exam in order to improve their scores. On the other hand, in this paper I will describe the theories of the approaches E-learning, Flipped Learning and Flipped classroom which were the ones used to sustain this internship, as well as my experience along the process.Publicación Acceso abierto Saber pro exam (national board examination preparation course)(2021-09-29) Sariego Verona, Verónica; Paz Wechek, Martha ElviraThis report describes and evidences the internship conducted at “Competencias Génericas” courses in the frame of Saber Pro University of Cordoba Institutional Program. Therefore, the purpose of this internship is to provide the future candidates of the test Saber Pro the knowledge and skills regarding reading strategies and vocabulary that might be necessary during the English section of the test. This internship was conducted through the implementation of Flipped Learning and E-Learning for the incorporation of technological resources in the virtual classroom with a focus on Reading Comprehension in relation to Covid-19 events to facilitate synchronous and asynchronous teaching modalities. Results, conclusions, evidence, and recommendations will be presented at the end of the report.
