This arises from the need to improve students' communication skills, in order to promote learning that contributes to their academic training. This research is theoretically based on the communicative perspective of language and it is supported by the concepts of authors such as Daniel Cassany, Ana Camps, Joaquim Dolz, among others. The target population consisted of 12 students between the ages of 11 and 15, who live in Dos de septiembre, Villa Margarita, Nueva Esperanza, and La Gloria neighborhood among others. The methodology was qualitative, with a socio-critical approach and was framed within Action Research. At the end of the intervention, it was evident that the students improved their written productions, demonstrating improvements in terms of the ability to assume critical opinions, express them and defend them with a greater mastery of the argumentative texts micro, macro and superstructures elements. In writing, they also recognized the possibility of identifying themselves, questioning and discussing the world around them.
