The results were analyzed using descriptive statistics; obtaining that the dairy production chain in Montería is made up mostly of small and medium producers, with a traditional subsistence activity and a medium level of schooling; they have insufficient infrastructure and tools to carry out their activities, one cause of this situation being the lack of investment on their own initiative or by the state, they have low productivity and little degree of associativity. In most of the milk samples evaluated, it was evidenced that the percentages of fat, protein, non-fat solids and total solids are higher than the minimum established by Decree 616 of 2006.
