The aim of this study is to improve the reading comprehension of students in the ninth grade B of the La Inmaculada Educational Institution in the city of Monteria through the pedagogical use of streaming platforms. The research was structured under a qualitative approach methodology, using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. Thirty-nine students of grade 9-B of the institution in question, aged between 13 and 15, participated in the study. Tools such as participant observation, literature review and interview were used, which contributed to the development of this teaching strategy, which resulted in the improvement of reading levels (inferential and critical) and text production skills through the pedagogical use of streaming platforms. It was concluded that the students were able to give new meaning to the digital content, apply it to their experiences and make it functional in their relationship with reality.
