dc.description.abstract | In foreign language teaching, it is important for prospective teachers to define their own leadership style. Often, leadership models are used without deep reflection on personal values. This personal leadership statement explains what we will be like as leaders, what qualities we will have, and what we will do in our professional practice to guide and inspire others. Therefore, the paper presents a definition of authentic leadership, describes our ideas and beliefs on the subject, and explains how we plan to empower our colleagues and students through teamwork. This paper is the final task to complete the “Lifelong Professional Development: Empowering Foreign Language Teachers” diploma course at Universidad de Córdoba.
