dc.description.abstractThe business practice was carried out at the Cunas Dos farm of Grupo Agrícola Santamaría S.A.S, a company dedicated to the production and commercialization of export type bananas, located in the municipality of Carepa, Antioquia. The purpose of the business practice was to develop a population diagnosis using the pogo counting method. For this, visits were made to the farm for data collection in weeks 11, 14, 17 and 21, where slow, poor and unproductive plants were identified, which were marked and a work of recovery of their conditions was done. An improvement was evidenced in terms of unproductive plants since they were eliminated and then they proceeded to take their place with good vigor replanting, in terms of slow plants, successional children that did not have F10 leaves in the flowering phase, A job was done that consisted of taking a pseudostem approximately 1m high and placed on the pujón in order to cover it completely to stimulate its growth and production of true leaves. In the poor plants there was no differential improvement despite the fact that they were de-lopped and “Topi ban” was made, this is because it is a slow process and depends exclusively on the intake of nutrients from the succession child and the conditions in the one that the mother plant is.eng

dc.description.resumenLa práctica empresarial se realizó en la finca Cunas Dos del Grupo Agrícola Santamaría S.A.S empresa dedicada a la producción y comercialización de banano tipo exportación, ubicada en el municipio de Carepa, Antioquia. El propósito de la práctica empresarial fue desarrollar un diagnóstico de población utilizando el método de conteo pogo. Para esto, se realizaron visitas a la finca para la toma de datos en las semanas 11, 14, 17 y 21, donde se identificaron plantas lentas, pobres e improductivas, las cuales se marcaron y se les hizo un trabajo de recuperación de sus condiciones. Se evidenció una mejora en cuanto a las plantas improductivas ya que fueron eliminadas y posteriormente se procedió a ocupar su lugar con resiembras de buen vigor; en cuanto a las plantas lentas, a los hijos de sucesión que no tenían hojas F10 a fase de floración, se le hizo un trabajo que consistió en tomar un pseudotallo de aproximadamente 1m de altura y se colocó sobre el puyón con el fin de taparlo completamente para estimular su crecimiento y producción de hojas verdaderas. En las plantas pobres no hubo una mejoría diferencial a pesar de que se desbacotaron y se le hizo “Topi ban”, esto se debe a que es un proceso lento y depende exclusivamente de la toma de nutrientes del hijo de sucesión y de las condiciones en la que la planta madre se encuentre.spa
