This document demonstrates the business practice process developed at the ESE Hospital San Francisco de Ciénaga de Oro, which aimed to evaluate the Patient Safety policy in the entity. During the time in the institution a diagnostic process was carried out that allowed to know the current situation of the subject of safe care and evaluate it through the checklist of good safety practices of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, to finally outline some results that they led to the prioritization of specific health care processes according to the opportunity for improvement that they evidenced and, finally, to the approach of a respective improvement plan based on the findings presented in the diagnosis
