Over the years a variety of useful methods have been implemented to improve the learning process in schools and inspire students to learn, but becoming a good teacher means being in constantly changing, adapting and transmitting passion to the students. Becoming a teacher is being involved with student´s needs, motivation, fears, it is also an opportunity to demonstrate that making small changes, you get great results, changes such as inspiring students through gestures, activities, showing concern for solving problems in society, changing the voice tone when teaching, providing variety of ways of getting good scores, motivating them, putting on practice team work etc. all of these small changes in teaching are important for helping the students to feel in confidence with the teacher and familiarized with the subject. The aim of this internship is encourage the students in the participation of oral production, for achieving this purpose a proper strategy will be suggested; the use of Task Based Learning. Internship at la ribera school: bilingualism for peace program
(2023-02-02) Lobo Petro, Juan Guillermo; Yurisan Tordecilla Zumaqué
This paper is designated to report my internship experience in the Bilingualism for Peace Program. My internship was carried out through face-to-face classes, at the Institución Educativa La Ribera (IE La Ribera) in Monteria. It consisted of teaching English lessons to a pre-Intermediate level, and an Upper-Intermediate Level with students from 8,9, and 10th grade. The problem identified turned out to be that the course curriculum seemed to be excessively focused more on teaching about the language itself, than on addressing important local and global social issues through the language as conflict resolution and human relationships, which is another objective of the program. Therefore, the main purpose of this internship was to promote the development of communicative competencies that allow the students to deal with issues relevant to a globalized, integrated, and competitive world through the design of lesson plans based on an approach of Task-Based Language Teaching, under the theory of Education for Peace, and Intercultural Competence. The lessons used English as a bridge for themes in classes that addressed controversial topics such as Family Issues, Racism, and Gender Equality with the help of a United Nations project to trigger attitudes for a new generation of peace-and-changemaker citizens. This paper discusses the pedagogies, the program where the internship took place, methodologies, results, conclusions, recommendations, and limitations of this meaningful process in which I had personal and professional growth of great value.

Internship at public school: teaching vocabulary to preschoolers through a play-based learning approach
(2022-07-30) Álvarez Rojas, Angie Sofía; Romero, Yanilis
In Colombia, the government promotes the teaching and learning of foreign languages from primary education, although not in preschool education. As a result, there is a gap in learning a foreign language since children get enrolled in the education system. Nevertheless, early childhood education provides environments to train students around integral education promoting different dimensions of development and competencies, such as language acquisition and soft skills. Thus, this paper describes my experience during my internship with preschool students at Antonia Santos school in Monteria, Cordoba. As part of my internship, I applied a play-based learning approach with the help of videos to expand vocabulary in preschool students. Furthermore, this paper presents the findings and gains related to my students' growth, my personal improvements, and my professional advancement.
