    A personal leadership statement. As educators and advocates for lifelong learning, we aspire to lead in ways that empower and inspire others to reach their full potential. We aim to lead by example, fostering trust, motivation, and collaboration within our teams and communities. Leadership, for us, means creating inclusive spaces where every individual feels valued, respected, and encouraged to contribute to shared goals. Guided by Daft’s (2008) theories, we believe in turning challenges into opportunities for growth and helping others recognize their strengths. Through shared decision-making, adaptability, and resilience, we strive to create lasting, positive impacts in education, especially in foreign language teaching.

    In education, leadership is key. A positive culture, direction, and vision are provided by effective leaders. Positive educational outcomes are ultimately influenced by the roles that teacher leaders play in encouraging student success, professional growth, and cooperative school communities. This personal leadership statement describes team leadership qualities and future practices as teacher leaders. Consequently, this paper will focus on the definition of this leadership perspective, our assumptions, description of empowerment, and implications for the future. This final plan is the result of the Lifelong Professional Development: Empowering Foreign Language Teachers course. This statement proposes different strategies for the development of leaders in their roles as teachers in schools and how they can be empowered to achieve the proposed goals.     The need for opportunities that enhance the leadership capacities of both staff and students is well recognized within educational communities. To address this, it is crucial not only to acknowledge the necessity but also to take active steps, such as implementing courses that support the management skills of both managers and teachers. This article presents a development plan aimed at fostering leadership capabilities in students, both individually and in teams, over the short and medium term. The plan is backed by research, including studies by Daft (2008), which highlight the importance of group dynamics. Consequently, the plan prepares teachers and students for transformational leadership roles, integrating these skills throughout their educational journey. This initiative aims to define strategies that maximize the potential for success and leadership in educational contexts.

    Today's education is facing a new generation of students who require a system that is innovative, but that also helps them enhance basic values, such as teamwork, which may not be as evident today. In addition, schools recognize the importance of instilling a communicative environment, so priority is sought to be given to speaking and communication skills in a foreign language such as English. This document addresses the importance of team leadership and in the educational field and how its integration into the teaching/learning process can be a significant point of improvement. It also describes how empowerment is key to developing and achieving goals so that teacher leaders and students can meet their higher needs. In this way, a plan is proposed that allows the team leadership process to be carried out and provides students with what they need to improve. This plan aims to foster students' curiosity, critical thinking and teamwork, as well as promote inclusion and diversity in a context where communication is prioritized. Finally, this paper includes our assumptions about this leadership process and the implications for the future of being properly empowered to support quality improvement and the constant evolution of education.

Con énfasis en la cooperación, la responsabilidad compartida y la inclusividad en la enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras, este ensayo explora el liderazgo en equipo como una perspectiva de liderazgo crucial. Nuestras suposiciones sobre el liderazgo en equipo están guiadas por preguntas relacionadas con la creación de espacios inclusivos y el papel de las perspectivas diversas en la mejora de los resultados educativos.     Este artículo explora la aplicación de los principios de liderazgo de equipo en entornos educativos, con un enfoque en fomentar el empoderamiento y la colaboración dentro de los equipos escolares. El estudio enfatiza el papel transformador del liderazgo en la creación de una cultura escolar positiva, donde la inclusión, la adaptabilidad y la confianza mutua son fundamentales para apoyar el crecimiento individual y colectivo. Al examinar las estrategias de liderazgo colaborativo, el artículo destaca la importancia de la comunicación transparente, la responsabilidad compartida y la resolución de conflictos para cultivar equipos cohesionados y efectivos. Además, profundiza en cómo los líderes educativos pueden fomentar la innovación integrando perspectivas diversas y promoviendo la toma de decisiones participativa. A través de estas prácticas, los líderes no solo mejoran la dinámica del equipo, sino que también contribuyen a una cultura de mejora continua que beneficia tanto a los educadores como a los estudiantes.
