The banana agro-industry has developed as a traditional agro-export chain, generating important foreign exchange for the country, maintaining its position as a net exporter. Currently, in the Urabá area, performance evaluations are carried out in cultural tasks such as bagging, deflowering, dismantling, hand protection and bunch protection; techniques applied for greater control of their operators of each of the tasks that are carried out on farms. These performance evaluations and training give support to improve the quality of work carried out by operators, optimize the fruit and consequently, be more productive. The main objective of this report was to carry out monitoring, evaluation and training in cultural work in the pre-harvest and post-harvest stage of the banana crop (Musa AAA), with which an improvement in the quality of the executions was achieved, thanks to the feedback constants. In addition to that, follow-up was done through measurements of degree and length of fingers according to evaluating false excesses +1 and +2, this is done from the moment the excess is carried out until the cutting point in the harvest, finding data positive for F+2 dehandling, since many farm conditions were not optimal for F+1. The positive or negative impact of the shrinkage and the ratio according to the two types of mishandling were also evaluated, showing positive results since it presented a decrease in the shrinkage due to the fact that the fingers did reach the length and grade to market in international market, otherwise the excess F+1.Publicación Acceso abierto Evaluación y seguimiento de labores culturales en el cultivo de banano (musa aaa) en la finca Casco, Apartadó, Antioquia(2020-11-05) Garcés Ramos, Ximena Patricia; Jaraba Navas, Juan de DiosThe practice was carried out in Urabá Antioqueño, exactly in the Casco farm belonging to the C.I Tropical S.A. business group. The objective was to carry out an accompaniment in the diagnosis, training and subsequent evaluation of the cultural work required in the cultivation of bananas to increase their efficiency, since there was a high rate of rejection for an inadequate technical operation. Therefore, it was necessary to train the operators, where the correct way to perform the tasks was specified, in order to give a complete rethinking of the established procedures, generating a constant improvement in the execution of each task to obtain a product of excellent quality and a minimum rejection. The different evaluation formats of work available to the group were used and the "pogo" method was implemented, which allows for the random selection of plants in a controlled manner. The "pogo" consists of taking an area of the lot at random and enclosing it in a frame of 30m by 30m in total gives an area of 900m2 within which we proceeded to evaluate 30 plants also taken at random, the parameters to evaluate were; moorage, bagging, deflowering, leaf removal, removal of the roots, debris, deflection of spikes, deflection of the bunch, etc. These tasks are known as fruit protection and it was here that the greatest inconsistencies were found. Fertilization, weed control, and drainage maintenance were evaluated generally by lots. These did not present major inconsistencies because they were done on time and in a controlled manner by the field coordinatorsPublicación Restringido Seguimiento y análisis al comportamiento de la mancha de madurez en plantación de banano tipo Cavendishvalery en la Finca El Paso, Apartadó, Antioquia(2020-07-01) Negrete Bolívar, María de los Ángeles; Trebilcok Perna, Anibal; Perdomo Causil, Juan CamiloThe behavior of the ripening stain was monitored and analyzed in banana plantations for export at Finca El Paso of the company PLANTÍOS S.A.S., located at km 2 via Carepa-Antioquia, municipality of Apartadó, in Urabá Antioqueño. The farm has established the Cavendish-Valery banana clone, in a production area of 217.5 ha, divided into three sections: El Paso with 75.14 hectares (lots 1-15), El Golpe Section with 67.53 hectares (lots 16 - 28), and finally the Lutina Section with 72.77 hectares (lots 29 - 43). In the period from February 19, 2019 to August 19, 2019, the activities carried out were: carrying out in-band waste analysis during the production process, determination of losses due to defects during the production process. All activities take place on time. The most common defects represented in productivity losses, corresponded to spots of maturity, malformation and management and field scars; Being the stain of maturity the defect as significant in the plantation generating a variable of high era in the farm and the loss of usable boxes due to this defect.
