Communication and information technologies, however, have become hope amidst pandemic, as they have allowed the teaching and learning process to be developed. Remote education during pandemic has been the topic of many researchers to uncover the essence of teachers’ lived experience from various perspectives. However, little has been done on exploring the lived experiences of L2 teachers in school contexts. The purpose of this study was to explore the lived experiences of English educators with online education in a public school in the department of Cordoba, Colombia. This study employed a descriptive phenomenological design. The researcher collected the data through in-depth, semi-structured interviews and reflective diaries. The data was analyzed through Colaizzi's phenomenological seven steps. The study found that remote education during Covid-19 implied encountering multiple mixed feelings and perceptions that were mostly associated with Covid-19’s obstacles. The integration of ICTs, however, served as a bridge amidst pandemic’s hurdles to allow the continuity of the teaching and learning process. This integration as result, provided new opportunities to discover new technological considerations and to enrich the participant’s life and professional aspects. This study highlights the transcendence of the participant’s perception towards the lived experience and the significance of ICTs in the adaptation process of moving from a physical modality to virtual spaces.Publicación Acceso abierto Retos y desafíos para las empresas en la cuarta revolución industrial(2022-03-31) Hernández Pérez, Deivis David; Rodríguez Bermúdez, DanielThe present bibliographic review allowed to analyze the challenges that companies have in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, through which it was possible to inquire about the economic, social and political context that this new technological era entails and how traditional companies can enter in this new digital context. Education can be defined as the training dedicated to the development of people's intellectual abilities, responding to their cultural, social and moral contexts. Digital transformation is understood as the application of digital resources and tools to make a process more efficient, changing and restructuring its methods through the adoption of technology and its tools. To analyze this problem it is necessary to mention its causes, one of them is the lack of educational coverage in the country, the technological illiteracy of the inhabitants and the public policies of the State in favor of a technological revolution. Exposing characteristics of how both issues influence today's society is of academic, intellectual and social interest since parameters of transformation and evolution are based on all fields of the human being. The pandemic will emerge greater challenges for education and the digital transformation, such as digital illiteracy to lack of motivation to learn. That is why pedagogy and digital transformation must interact, in a country like Colombia that seeks development and innovation, creating laws and public policies for the digital benefit of the citizen.
