    Implementation of team-based learning to promote a healthy coexistence at Bilingualism for Peace Program

    The following report shows the internship experiences that took place in the Bilingualism for Peace Program at the moment of teaching 28 students from Pre-intermediate level aging 11 to 13 years old in a public school in Monteria, Cordoba. The goal of this internship was to implement collaborative learning work as well as strategies for English classes in order to promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment. This was done integrating Problem-Based-Learning (PBL) and Team-Based-Learning (TBL) as pedagogical strategies. The results showed improvements in student’s attitude towards collaborative work, leading into a more active and participative classroom space where all students’ voices were heard and accepted.

    In education, academia recognizes the imperative to integrate dynamic assessment tools within higher education programs to cultivate appropriate leadership skills. A strategic method requires that the theoretical knowledge acquired be implemented in personalized plans for the correct development of leadership. This exposition outlines a concise but powerful plan for the development of transformational leadership, based on the esteemed Academic Model of the University of Córdoba. Integrated into the Transformational Leadership and Innovation course curriculum, this plan prepares aspiring leaders to imbue their academic leadership frameworks with the principles of transformational leadership. Serving as a guiding framework for greater leadership effectiveness, this outlined plan clarifies effective implementation.

    A Personal Leadership Statement

    Currently, secondary education institutions recognize the need to improve educational quality, one of them is to enhance the reading comprehension of students to increase their communication skills, particularly in a foreign language such as English. A potential solution to address this challenge is to enact team leadership among educational personnel to facilitate ideas that promote critical reading. This paper describes the influence of team leadership on the teaching, and learning of students in schools, emphasizing inclusion through empowerment and detailing the aspects necessary for its implementation in pedagogical practice. Likewise, it promotes the importance of developing good planning in institutions according to the current reality, in which activities that generate engagement and motivation are promoted through the use of technology to encourage collective work. Finally, it contains our assumptions about this educational phenomenon and the strategies that future team leaders should use to provide quality education.
