Publicación Acceso abierto Alteraciones del sueño post pandemia en estudiantes de enfermería de una universidad pública, 2022(2022-09-02) Guardia Lobo, Eva Maria; Pitalúa Martínez, Natalia Andrea; Pérez Villalba, Wilson AntonioThis research aimed to determine the main sleep disorders and alterations that affected the nursing students in the COVID-19 pandemy. For this purpose, the researchers used a cross-sectional descriptive study with quantitative focus from surveys made in the month of June of the Year 2022 in a public university at the city of Monteria. The sample population was 165 students of the nursing program of this public university that fulfilled the criteria needed for the survey. (93.94%) of the students were between 17 and 24 years. and (78.18%) of them were women. From the 165 students surveyed the (78.18%) did not get COVID-19, the (21.82%) left did have a positive diagnosis for COVID-19. In the survey there was evaluated the insomnia according to the eight reactive of the Athens scale. The obtained results of this survey showed that the nursery students in general tend to suffer from insomnia and daytime sleepiness represented by the (30.3%) and (21.8%) respectively. In this research there was separated the population positive and negative for COVID-19, it was highlighted that the population positive for COVID-19 and with possible sleeping alteration equals to the (63.89%) and the population negative for COVID-19 and possible sleeping alteration equals to (45.74%). According to these results it was concluded that the COVID-19 increased the sleeping alterations in the nursery students of the public university.Publicación Acceso abierto Efectos del entrenamiento de la fuerza en los cambios a nivel funcional y preventivo de sarcopenia en adultos del grupo extensión de la Universidad de Córdoba del barrio Mocarí(2022-04-06) Restrepo Solís, Julio José; Pérez Villalba, Wilson AntonioIntroduction: Sarcopenia is a disease characterized by the progressive loss of strength and muscle mass, whose progression produces adverse results, with older adults being the main affected, it is worth mentioning that this population is growing at an accelerated rate and as a consequence saturates the systems Health professionals, a therapeutic tool to prevent and reverse this disease is strength training objective: To establish the effects of strength training on changes at the functional level and on the prevention of sarcopenia in older adults, according to the established criteria of the group of European Work on Sarcopenia in the Elderly (EWGSOP2) methods: A quantitative, quasi-experimental study with a sample of 25 elderly from the extension group of the University of Córdoba performing a 12- week protocol of strength training with a frequency of 2 times per week, the data were obtained through the fu test Grip strength and functional test Results: Changes in grip strength were obtained after the protocol but not significant (p = 0.1510), instead it had a tendency to increase on its own if it had significant changes in the test of getting up from the chair. chair (p=0.0018) and gait speed (p= 0.0170) Conclusions: the results of the study showed that strength training is an effective therapeutic method to improve muscle strength in older people, which that requires a future reduction of the negative impacts of sarcopenia.Publicación Acceso abierto Factores asociados a la inasistencia del programa de hipertensión arterial en una E.S.E. pública de Montería de primer nivel de atención en el año 2020(2022-07-31) Ortíz González, Tania Carolina; Zubiría Paternina, Fiorella; Pérez Villalba, Wilson AntonioArterial hypertension corresponds to a silent, chronic, and noncommunicable disease that is caused by the force of the blood towards the walls of the vessels, this disease is associated with other comorbidities that can represent complications in the lives of patients, for which requires constant accompaniment and supervision. Objective: to determine the factors associated that contribute to the non-attendance of the arterial hypertension control program. Materials and methods: The present study was descriptive with a quantitative approach; it was carried out in the city of Montería in an ESE Public Hospital. The information was collected through the application of a semi-structured survey made up of 16 questions and applied to 17 patients who did not attend the arterial hypertension control program. Results: 65% of patients are women, most of them claimed to be illiterate, dedicated mainly to housework, belonging to the subsidized regime, with high blood pressure for more than 5 years. They assured that the main reason for non-attendance was due to lack of accompaniment followed by transportation problems. Conclusions: A disease such as arterial hypertension requires adequate and timely management to reduce the risk of complications, especially the development of comorbidities.Publicación Acceso abierto Riesgo de trastornos de la conducta alimentaria en estudiantes de Enfermería.
