Land use conflicts are determined by the need to know if an activity that is carried out on a soil generates degradation or not in it, or if, on the contrary, the activity generates a waste in its use; That is why changes and conflicts in land use are generated, which is translated into the sum of physical transitions of the land associated with human actions, in a pragmatic way, thus referring to the result of the socioeconomic activities that are developed on a coverage Of the territory. The present work was carried out in the municipality of Cienaga de Oro in the department of Córdoba, which aimed to analyze the real vocation and current use of land and the origin of conflicts over land use, generated in the area rural municipality. However, it should be clarified that the municipality continues to have an agricultural vocation, this activity is being diminished by factors such as cattle ranching.
