The logistics sector is not alien to this phenomenon, logistics processes have focused on the fourth wave of technological innovation, through which physical and digital systems are interconnected, to achieve greater efficiency and competitiveness. This monographic work is made up of three chapters; in the first one, it is characterized by the logistics process of International Physical Distribution and the activities that comprise it; The second chapter describes the process of digital transformation that the industry has experienced during the last decade (2010-2019), pointing out the events, processes and technologies of greatest importance and impact; and finally the digital transformation process that has been evidenced within the logistics process of International Physical Distribution is explained.
