Resolución de estenosis uretral complicatoria pos-uretropexia utilizando sonda de balón en perro: relato de caso

dc.description.abstractLas enfermedades del tracto urinario incluyen diferentes condiciones que pueden afectar a los riñones, uréteres, vejiga urinaria y la uretra, causando en algunos casos fibrosis o estenosis. Una de las condiciones es el prolapso uretral en machos, que puede tener causas hereditarias, anomalías estructurales, uretritis por excitación sexual excesiva, traumas infringidos durante la masturbación frecuente, infecciones urinarias, cálculos urinarios o a una combinación de causas. Este reporte evidencia el manejo médico que se le dio a las complicaciones que se presentaron pos uretropexia en paciente Bulldog Inglés de tres años de edad con prolapso uretral crónico. El paciente presentó un proceso congestivo crónico caracterizado por agrandamiento del glande acompañado de cambios de coloración y dolor al tacto, cinco días post-cirugía. El tratamiento instaurado fue local y sistémico por 60 días, con el fin de evitar la amputación peneana y uretrostomía. Finalizado el tratamiento, se evidenció estenosis uretral casi completa; optándose por la dilatación con balón como opción menos invasiva para la resolución de la misma. El relato de caso presenta una alternativa de tratamiento para estenosis uretral utilizando una sonda de balón con resultados favorables.spa
