According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), currently more than 22,000 species are in danger of extinction in the world. Faced with this problem, programs for the rescue and conservation of plant species have been developed in order to restore a little of our ecosystems. Different studies reveal that the unsustainable consumption of plants and animals, wild and domestic, as well as other species that support food production, is leading to their extinction, which seriously endangers the future of food and livelihoods, as well like our health and the environment.
