Implementación de buenas prácticas de seguridad del paciente en la atención en salud en la E.S.E. Camu Santa Teresita

dc.description.abstractLa seguridad del paciente es fundamental para mejorar la calidad de la atención en salud, por lo que el Programa de Seguridad del Paciente se ha establecido como una herramienta clave para reducir la ocurrencia de eventos adversos, prevenir errores y fortalecer la confianza entre los usuarios y el personal sanitario. En este sentido, se implementaron las Buenas Prácticas de Seguridad del Paciente en la E.S.E. CAMU SANTA TERESITA, con el propósito de minimizar los riesgos y asegurar una atención más segura, efectiva y centrada en las necesidades del usuario. La seguridad del paciente es un tema prioritario en la atención en salud, ya que los eventos adversos pueden tener consecuencias graves para los pacientes y sus familias, esta iniciativa se enfocó en promover una cultura organizacional comprometida con la prevención, el aprendizaje y la mejora continua. Para lograr esto, se realizó un estudio de intervención, con una población objeto conformada por los pacientes y familiares que reciben atención en la E.S.E. CAMU SANTA TERESITA, utilizando técnicas de observación y recolección de información, y empleando instrumentos como listas de chequeo para evaluar el cumplimiento de las prácticas. Este análisis de la información permitió identificar debilidades en procesos clave como la adherencia a protocolos clínicos. Con base en estos hallazgos, se diseñaron e implementaron estrategias de mejora, como jornadas de capacitación al personal asistencial, administrativo y a los usuarios. En conclusión este estudio se enfocó en identificar las áreas de mejora y desarrollar estrategias para fortalecer la seguridad del paciente en la institución. Todo esto con el fin de mejorar la calidad y seguridad de la atención en salud en la institución. La implementación de estas Buenas Prácticas de Seguridad del Paciente en la E.S.E. CAMU SANTA TERESITA ha sido un paso decisivo hacia el fortalecimiento de la calidad en la atención. Esta experiencia refleja el compromiso institucional con la seguridad, el bienestar y la confianza de los usuarios, promoviendo una atención en salud más humana, segura y responsable.spa
dc.description.abstractPatient safety is fundamental to improve the quality of health care, so the Patient Safety Program has been established as a key tool to reduce the occurrence of adverse events, prevent errors and strengthen trust between users and health personnel. In this sense, the Good Patient Safety Practices were implemented in the E.S.E. CAMU SANTA TERESITA, with the purpose of minimizing risks and ensuring a safer, more effective and user-centered care. Patient safety is a priority issue in health care, since adverse events can have serious consequences for patients and their families, this initiative focused on promoting an organizational culture committed to prevention, learning and continuous improvement. To achieve this, an intervention study was carried out with a target population made up of patients and family members receiving care at the E.S.E. CAMU SANTA TERESITA, using observation and information gathering techniques, and employing instruments such as checklists to evaluate compliance with practices. This analysis of the information made it possible to identify weaknesses in key processes such as adherence to clinical protocols. Based on these findings, improvement strategies were designed and implemented, such as training sessions for healthcare and administrative personnel and users. In conclusion, this study focused on identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to strengthen patient safety in the institution. All this in order to improve the quality and safety of health care in the institution. The implementation of these Good Patient Safety Practices in the E.S.E. CAMU SANTA TERESITA has been a decisive step towards strengthening the quality of care. This experience reflects the institutional commitment to the safety, welfare and trust of users, promoting a more humane, safe and responsible health care.eng
