dc.description.abstractLa industria del transporte de combustibles en Colombia, en constante crecimiento, requiere un enfoque serio en la seguridad y protección ambiental. Distracom S.A., una de las redes de estaciones de servicio más especializadas y con mayor cobertura del país, se dedica a la distribución, transporte y comercialización de combustibles líquidos, gas natural vehicular y lubricantes. Su operación abarca varios departamentos de Colombia, incluyendo Antioquia, Atlántico, Cesar, Córdoba, Sucre, Bolívar, entre otros. La empresa tiene una flota vehicular que transporta combustibles, los cuales son líquidos inflamables y altamente contaminantes, lo que genera la necesidad de implementar Planes de Contingencia (PDC) y Planes de Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres (PGRD) para prevenir y mitigar impactos ambientales. Un diagnóstico realizado a Distracom reveló que algunos de sus planes de contingencia no cumplían con los requisitos establecidos por las autoridades ambientales, por lo que se sugirió actualizar y mejorar dichos planes. Esto es particularmente importante debido a la expansión de la empresa y la incorporación de nuevos clientes, lo que requiere la modificación o creación de nuevos PDC en las jurisdicciones donde sea necesario.spa
dc.description.abstractThe fuel transportation industry in Colombia, which is constantly growing, requires a serious focus on safety and environmental protection. Distracom S.A., one of the most specialized and comprehensive service station networks in the country, is dedicated to the distribution, transportation and marketing of liquid fuels, vehicular natural gas and lubricants. Its operation covers several departments in Colombia, including Antioquia, Atlántico, Cesar, Córdoba, Sucre, Bolívar, among others. The company has a fleet of vehicles that transport fuels, which are flammable and highly polluting liquids, which generates the need to implement Contingency Plans (PDC) and Disaster Risk Management Plans (PGRD) to prevent and mitigate environmental impacts. A diagnosis carried out on Distracom revealed that some of its contingency plans did not comply with the requirements established by environmental authorities, so it was suggested that these plans be updated and improved. This is particularly important due to the expansion of the company and the incorporation of new clients, which requires the modification or creation of new PDCs in the jurisdictions where necessary.eng
