Assessing self-esteem in nursing students of a HEI in Monteria in times of pandemic COVID-19, in the light of Rosemberg's Self-Esteem Theory. Methodology. Cross-sectional quantitative descriptive study. A sample of 130 nursing students from a higher education institution in Monteria was taken from the total population 365. Rosemberg's self-esteem scale was applied through the form in the Google Forms application with 4 sections: Informed consent, personal characteristics questionnaire, Rosemberg self-esteem scale and gratitude. Results. Out of 130 participating students, the average age was 21 years. The self-esteem assessment is dominated by the high category with 39.2%. The dimension of selfconfidence or personal satisfaction (positive self-esteem) corresponds to 15.41, and self-contempt or personal devaluation (negative self-esteem) to 13.07. Pearson's Chi-square statistic revealed relationships between "perception of mental health" and self-esteem, with a p-value of "0.000". Conclusion. The assessment of the Rosemberg self-esteem scale evidences the presence of difficulties in some of its dimensions, with the perception of the pandemic as a fundamental stressor.Publicación Restringido Incidencia de la actividad física en el bienestar físico y emocional de las personas que la practican de manera regular(Universidad de Córdoba, 2023-03-03) Arateco Sanchez, Laura Camila; Orta Piñeres, Katty Elena; Eusse López, Cleiber YesidEl objetivo es analizar los principales estudios sobre los beneficios que genera a nivel físico y emocional la práctica regular de actividad física en personas adultas como factor determinante para el aumento de la autoestima. Se tendrán en cuenta artículos donde tengan información relevante en temáticas de actividad física, bienestar emocional y físico, trastornos emocionales, autoestima y su relación positiva entre las mismas; la información recopilada es de bases de datos especializadas como Google Académico, Proquest, Scielo, Dialnet, scopus, Pubmed, ScienceDirect y otras. La población está comprendida entre edades de 5 a más de 60 años. Por último, hay evidencias de tipo teórica que nos indican la fuerte influencia en estados emocionales como la ansiedad, depresión, disminución del estrés, mejores capacidades intelectuales, autoestima, cognitivas y relaciones interpersonales, a partir de la práctica de la actividad física, esto quiere decir que debe considerarse como elemento central y fundamental en los programas de promoción de la salud para las personas que tengan o no alguna patologías, alteraciones psíquicas o emocionales.Publicación Acceso abierto El rendimiento escolar y el desarrollo positivo en adolescentes estudiantes de grado noveno de la Institución Educativa Villa Cielo(2021-10-11) Hoyos Gómez, Luz Estela; Pacheco Lora, Luis CarlosThis research work called "School Performance and Positive Development in Teenage Ninth Grade Students of the Villa Cielo Educational Institution", presents the percentage of students who have positive development; the positive relationship of positive developmental factors (selfesteem, self-efficacy, self-regulation, and social skills) with academic performance; 69 students participated in the study, 39 women and 29 men. The project was developed under a quantitative methodology, a non-experimental correlational design; Questionnaires were used to determine Positive Development and each of the study subject factors and to determine academic performance, the weighted averages of the grades obtained by each student in the first and second academic period 2019 - 1 were used. The results first show that 68% of the surveyed students have positive development and the correlations between academic performance, self-efficacy, academic self-regulation and social skills are significant in both groups; for self-esteem, the results were different: for group 9 ° 1, the relationship is negative; otherwise it occurs with group 9 ° 2 which is positive.
