    Banana cultivation is positioned as one of the most important for the agricultural sector and the economy of Colombia, since it is one of the most job-generating crops for the agricultural sector, participating with 0.4% of the country's GDP, helping to improve the quality of life of many people. The largest fruit production in the country is focused in the Urabá subregión in Antioquia, Magdalena and Guajira, occupying the fifth place as fruit exporter worldwide. One of the priorities in the cultivation of bananas is to maintain good yields that allow the profitability of the production system, so it is necessary to implement different strategies that contribute to achieving it. The lack of renewal of the plantation is one of the influencing factors in the drop in production, since over the years the crop loses productive potential, which leads to a decrease in its quality and economic useful life, This activity is sometimes not carried out to avoid having productive ceases since when executing it, the traditional plantation must be eliminated and the new plants must wait for a certain period of growth until they reach calving, generating a loss of profit and being an economic disadvantage. The main purpose of this study was to evaluate three interplant systems: Traditional interplant with corm (ITC); Traditional interplant with seedling (ITP) and High density interplant with seedlings (IADP), which in turn were compared with the traditional cultivation (CTR) or control with open field sowing and without intervention, in order to know the different behaviors and evaluate them as a renewal alternative for management of banana cultivation under edaphoclimatic conditions of Apartadó-Antioquia.

    Monitoreo al sistema de drenaje y seguimiento de labores agronómicas en la productividad del cultivo de Banano (Musa AAA), en la Finca Santa Helena, Carepa-Antioquia

    La práctica empresarial se realizó en la finca Santa Helena perteneciente a la empresa GRUPO 20 S.A, ubicada en el municipio de Carepa, Antioquia. El objetivo de la práctica empresarial fue monitorear el sistema de drenaje de la finca, llevar un control de los niveles freáticos y evaluar las labores de protección y cosecha de la fruta. Para ello, se tomaron datos semanalmente, y se realizaron mediciones utilizando implementos de campo (flexómetro, GPS), y formatos de toma de datos suministrados por la empresa. Se identificó las principales falencias que presentaba cada caso por lo que se logró llevar un seguimiento y control de las mismas, así mismo, dar posibles soluciones a las problemáticas de la finca.
