Revisión integradora(2022-07-21) Argumedo Herazo, Dayana; Barrera Montaño, Yasbrein Tiziana; Ferrer Ferrer, GiselleThe development of this study was carried out with the intention of understanding how cancer is faced in adults, taking into account the factors related to the diagnosis and intervention treatments by nursing, and the favorability of the same in the followup of the disease. the Objective of the work focuses on Describing the strategies used by adults for coping with cancer, as evidenced in research articles published in the period 2016 to 2020. On the other hand, the Methodology is based on the Integrative Literature Review. The search was initiated using keywords and descriptors, such as "cancer and diagnosis, treatment, intervention, nursing, among others;" combining them with the AND Boolean operator. Sixteen articles located in three databases subscribed to the University of Cordoba were selected: Lilacs, Pubmed, and Medline data, published in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Results. The databases with the highest results were Lilacs with 56.25% and Pubmed with 31.25%. In relation to language, English had a percentage of 50%, Portuguese 31.25% and Spanish 18.75%. In the research, three categories were identified in which 50% of the factors influencing coping are considered to be factors influencing coping. A qualitative methodology was used in 68.75% of the studies. Conclusion. The type of coping that was most evident was active or problem-focused, and the factors that most influence coping are socioeconomic and social support.
