Publicación Acceso abierto Conformación de la centralidad barrial de la granja a partir de la dinámica urbano-funcional al sur de la ciudad de Montería (1959- 2021)(2022-08-21) Escobar Castañeda, Jonathan; Rodiño Julio, Katy Paola; Garnica Berrocal, RosanaThis research is framed in Urban Geography, as a subdiscipline of Human Geography, which deals with the city and its functional dynamism (Lindón and Hiernaux, 2006). This is how urban centralities have become relevant over time within the urban context. Montería as an intermediate city, over time has been offering new urban centralities, taking as a main reference the neighborhood La Granja, the central objective of the research is to analyze the conformation of the neighborhood centrality La Granja, from the urban-functional dynamics produced by the trade and service facilities and infrastructures (security, education, health, recreation and sport) that have emerged from 1959 to 2021, through the collection of primary information: document review, support sheets, surveys and interviews. The results obtained show that, since its foundation, La Granja has been characterized as a central place, offering the inhabitants of southern Monteria the opportunity to meet their needs in terms of trade and services (safety, education, health, recreation and sport), generating that this space is related to other areas of the city, dealing with a spatial condition that is implicitly linked to the logics of urban-functional interaction.
