However, due to misdirection and a lack of comprehension of its complexity, assumptions based on unrealistic expectations have been made. The importance of this phenomenon to foreign language teachers led us to reflect deeply and create this personal leadership statement. In this paper, we will go into great detail on leadership and empowering leadership, and also how this concept is related to the teaching role. Additionally, we will study the varied approaches and qualities of effective teachers. Its complex nature being the subject of discussion among theorists and scholars; nevertheless, something in which we cannot disagree is the role that leaders and leadership have had in the creation and development of societies throughout the years, being an important subject in diverse areas of life, one of those areas being the educational field. Teacher leaders guide, inspire, and seek to improve the quality of education through collaborative work. Teacher Empowerment allows teachers to be able to create, innovate, and implement strategies, as well as look for different approaches to meet students' educational needs. It also gives teachers the opportunity to grow professionally. In this personal leadership statement, we seek to highlight the importance of this phenomenon in the educational field from the perspective of teacher leadership. In addition, this document contains an exploration of relevant literature regarding the concept of leadership and teacher leadership. Likewise, it illustrates our assumptions and leadership empowerment in light of teacher leadership, and the implications for the future. These last days have not escaped the discussion of what leadership should mean. On the other hand, if leadership is seen from the leader, the followers and the context perspective in which it is developed it gives us a new way of conceiving it. This paper will bring a renewed view of the leadership term, without leaving aside the author's point of view. In addition, we will see our assumptions, leadership empowerment and implications we as leader teachers must face in the future. If we in the servant leader's point of view put into practice the knowledge shared from now on, we will thrive whatever struggles we have.
