Evaluate the health and safety risks of workers at the NICU Nacersano in Caucasia, in order to propose actions that improves working conditions. Materials and methods. This study is descriptive, qualitative, cross-sectional. The group under study was made up of 42 workers from the Nacersano NICU, who are exposed to different occupational hazards. Current working conditions were taken to evaluate and plan improvements. The matrix that was used is provided by the ARL Colmena, which is contracted by Nacersano, said matrix enables the items corresponding to the company, taking into account the number of workers and activity that it develops. Results. A result of 81.3% was obtained in compliance with its standards, that is, in its mandatory items, which shows that Nacersano has worked on them; however, the percentage of compliance with the items applicable in 50.3%; but this shows a general percentage and not only of the items applicable to this company with less than 50 workers. This percentage result showed that he has 11 pending tasks to complete and achieve a percentage of 100%. Discussion. In compliance with Resolution 0312 of 2019, the evaluation of the current state of the Nacersano NICU was carried out based on the PHVA cycle; where a moderately high compliance with the mandatory standards was evidenced and shortcomings were evidenced in some unfulfilled items, this is closely related to the results obtained in other previous studies. Conclusion. The NICU Nacersano despite making significant progress in the implementation of the SG-SST, must to improve in some aspects, such as assigning a person in charge and assigning financial resources for the occupational health and safety management system; this in order to be able to constantly work on risk prevention and to continue advancing until fully complying with the expressed in the legislation.
