    Enhancing vocabulary and oral skills through gamification in 4th grade students at Santa María Goretti school under the national internship program

    The following report describes my internship experience at Santa Maria Goretti Educational Institution. It consisted of teaching in-person lessons to 4th-grade primary students between the ages of 9-12. The goal of this internship was to implement a meaningful strategy to get children involved in English learning. In this way, gamification as an educational strategy was applied to enhance vocabulary and oral skills. The lessons were designed and planned based on dynamic and mechanical techniques to provide a playful and accessible learning experience. In addition, this document discusses the underlying theories, methodology, gains, conclusions, limitations, and recommendations of the process in which I was immersed.

    Internship at Institution Villa Margarita

    This report aims to inform about the internship carried out at the Villa Margarita Institution in Montería through online classes and in-person classes which had as purpose to help students from 10th and 11th grades to improve their speaking skills due to the inconveniences they presented to express and communicate ideas or opinions, and thus achieve a better performance in the English classes. In addition, explains in detail the pedagogical perspectives on which this educational proposal is based, that is Learner-Centered Teaching (LCT), Task-Based Language Learning TBLL) and Flipped Learning (FL) and the methodologies and strategies used. Finally, it presents results and findings regarding the experiences and recommendations done by the intern, at the same time exposes the limitations faced during the internship and the professional growth as an English teacher.

    Internship at Public Institution Marceliano Polo

    This report details an internship executed at public institution Marceliano Polo in Cereté-Córdoba. In this report I share how was my personal experience as a novice teacher and the things I had to deal with during all this process, I also mentioned my experience with the implementation of virtual classes, The current situation led us to take different measures to carry out our work as teachers. In addition, this internship aimed to implement lessons that focus on CLT to improve students’ oral skills. CLT lessons have proved to be an effective alternative to develop more dynamic and fluent lessons. This approach has been used for the development of communicative skills. Hence, the purpose of this internship was to identify the possible improvements in students’ oral skills after the implementation of CLT lessons.
