Publicación Acceso abierto Características químicas del suelo de un área rehabilitada y su relación con la vegetación y avifauna presente en una mina de ferroníquel, Montelíbano – Córdoba, Colombia(2021-08-05) Mendoza Macea, Heyda Lenis; Díaz Pongutá, BasilioThe practice of open-pit mining is one of the activities that generates the most impacts on the ground, since it is an activity that generally eliminates all the compartments that support life in it and causes strong changes in its structure and operation. The objective of this work was to determine the relationship between the chemical parameters of the soil, the vegetation cover and the diversity of birds in an area in the mining rehabilitation process due to the extraction of ferronickel in Montelíbano - Córdoba, Colombia. The chemical properties of the sampled soils were characteristic of areas undergoing revegetation. The diversity of vascular plant species and the composition of the bird community is characteristic of areas with early succession. The relationship between the variables studied is not reported. Within the framework of these protocols is the morphometry process, where body measurements of the animal are taken. On the other hand, the veterinary medical assessment is in charge of evaluating the state of the individual, to later determine if they will go to quarantine or if they can be released immediately. If quarantine is carried out, adequate biological environment, nutritional diet and monitoring are carried out, according to age, size, sex and species. When the animals fail to survive captivity, diseases or accidents, a necropsy is carried out, in order to obtain an accurate verdict of death, organ conditions, sampling, etc. In the rehabilitation stage, one of the problems that is observed in animals that are in captivity is the loss and gradual deterioration of the behaviors that they need to survive in their natural habitats. In carnivorous species such as cats, the behaviors that are most affected are those that are related to illegal trafficking hunting activities. The objective of this internship work was focused on carrying out different types of environmental, behavioral, nutritional and olfactory enrichment in order to help rehabilitate a female leopard pardalis species in order to help her improve her stress and hair loss to thus being able to give it an adequate rehabilitation and proceed to release it in its natural habitat. For this work, different types of enrichment were carried out for this species, and through blood counts and nocturnal cameras it was possible to analyze various behaviors which helped this species of ocelot in the CAV of the CVS for its subsequent rehabilitation.Publicación Acceso abierto Implementación y seguimiento de la educación ambiental en la gestión integral de planes, programas y proyectos que desarrolla la CVS en el departamento de Córdoba(2020-11-08) Ruiz Pereira, Gloria Cristina; Vergara Córdoba, César AugustoPursuant to Articles 30 and 31, paragraph 3, of Act 99 of 1993, the Corporación Autónoma Regional de los Valles del Sinú y del San Jorge - CVS - has the function of promoting and developing community participation in environmental protection activities and programs, sustainable development and the proper management of renewable natural resources in the department of Córdoba. Based on the above, the CVS carries out monitoring, participation and environmental monitoring activities related to environmental education in the management of renewable waste and awareness-raising in environmental care, covering different aspects, the construction of a new Ethics and Environmental Culture in the department of Córdoba. The main objective of the present report is to present a series of strategies that are used in the management of the environment, pertaining to education to generate change, this shows a compilation of the results obtained from the monitoring, participation and training activities carried out in institutions, communities and entities of the municipalities of Córdoba that integrate people with a change of attitude to the lived environmental situation. nowadays, the continuous reviews of environmental problems in the media have made society as a whole see this problem as undesirable, because they directly relate the survival of living things to the planet’s environmental future, meaning, if we don’t take care of our environment, the mortality rate will rise. This has led to evidence and questioning of the aggressiveness of human behavior to the natural environment and highlights the need to change systems of knowledge and social values. This need for social change has meant that education and training are needed as the fundamental instruments to create a culture of awareness towards the sustainability of our Flora and Fauna. The precise objective of achieving education and training to solve the problems of aggressive human behavior in the face of the environment is the socialization and assimilation of new cultural patterns: ethics in the exploitation of resources, clean technology, etc. These guidelines should serve as an instrument of integration and change in society.
