    The present research allowed to identify from the spatial and temporal point of view the traffic accidents in commune 5 of the city of Montería for the year 2019 by using geospatial techniques, such as Nearest Neighbor, Standard Deviation, Ellipse Deviation, Homogeneous Cell Analysis, Kernel Density, in order to understand these events in the study area. However, it was necessary that in commune 5 of the city of Montería, having the highest 2 presence of traffic accidents in all the communes of the city, it was found pertinent to highlight within this one certain critical points for which it is necessary to prioritize as far as the formulation of strategies for a better road safety. Even though traffic accidents have been relevant since years ago with the revolution of machinery and their possible solutions, this research had the objective of identifying such concentration zones and spatial patterns of traffic accidents, at the same time, designing the spatial-temporal frequency of the events and applying geospatial techniques. It is concluded that under a central configuration where most of the economic sectors, health, education and others converge, there will be a greater agglomeration of the population and at the same time vehicular congestion on the roads, which consequently provides the cases of accidents. This study was carried out using information provided by the city's Traffic Police, and the aforementioned spatial analysis techniques were applied to the data.
