Publicación Acceso abierto Estudio de factibilidad para la creación de un hospital de segundo nivel en el municipio de la Apartada, Córdoba, Colombia(2021-07-14) Salgado Díaz, María Alejandra; Ortega de la Ossa, Osiris; Otero Cordero, Luis Fernando; Herrera Gutiérrez, ConcepciónTo elaborate a feasibility study for the creation of a Second Level of Care Hospital in the Municipality of La Apartada, offering its services to the inhabitants of the San Jorge Subregion and its areas of influence, in the Department of Córdoba, guaranteeing its sustainability over time. Methodology. This research methodology will focus on phases associated with the proposed objectives, which describe the current situation, a market study, a technical study and a socioeconomic evaluation of the project to be carried out as the creation of a second level hospital in the municipality of La Apartada. Results. With the creation of the second level hospital in the municipality of La Apartada, the population of the San Jorge sub-region will benefit from the decentralization of health services and the strengthening of the quality and timeliness of the service in the region. Likewise, it contributes to the regional impact of the health scheme by relieving the workload of the San Jerónimo Hospital in the city of Montería, which, to date, assumes the burden of second level services due to referrals from the San Jorge Subregion and its area of influence. Conclusions. This municipality has a high poverty rate, which means that some of the population is not affiliated to the subsidized or contributory system, and a very small percentage of the population is affiliated to the contributory system, which would be of great benefit to the community in general, This hospital center is necessary and vital to safeguard the integrity, health and quality of life of the inhabitants of the municipality, since there are no hospital entities for the benefit of medical appointments, emergencies or any type of level two complexity services.
