Nowadays, many educational institutions in the country organize information on academic
and administrative processes in physical file repositories. That is, they still handle physical
folders, reports and filing cabinets. The foregoing requires a better organization in the
disciplinary control processes, particularly the absence of monitoring tools and methods has been
noted, therefore the need for a web application that can help manage these control processes
through the ICTs. The main objective of this article is to present a successful experience of
integrating a web application for disciplinary monitoring and control in basic education in rural
areas. The field used in the project responds to a type of Design research; the research method is
mixed. A data collection was carried out, through surveys carried out to three entities of the
institution, a form of annotations and SICOES (student control system). As a result, the
appreciation of each entity was obtained in relation to the disciplinary conduct and with the
execution of the web application, annotations were obtained that were filled out in an Excel
format and each annotation was recorded in the general report table. To conclude, the SICOES
project, when applied, facilitated the systematization of disciplinary processes within the
educational establishment, leading to a better organization.
