El objetivo principal fue describir el papel ejercido por la auditoria frente al Sistema de Garantía de la Calidad en Salud en Colombia en el período comprendido entre los años 2015 al 2020. Se realizó una monografía de compilación, en donde se realizó búsqueda de la literatura en bases de datos científicas, en el período comprendido entre 2015 a 2020. La principal conclusión indica que la auditoría en Colombia ha logrado significativos avances, convirtiéndose no solo en una herramienta, si no en pilar fundamental en el logro de objetivos y metas establecidas desde la alta gerencia para beneficio de la organización.The audit is defined as a component of continuous improvement of the Mandatory System of Quality Assurance in Health, understood as the systematic and continuous mechanism of compliance with quality standards "consistent with the intent of the accreditation standards higher than those determined as basic in the Unified System of Qualification”. The main objective was to describe the role played by the audit against the Quality Assurance System in Health in Colombia in the period from 2015 to 2020. A compilation monograph was carried out, where a search of the literature was carried out in scientific databases, in the period from 2015 to 2020.
