El objetivo general de esta investigación es determinar el comportamiento epidemiológico de los intentos suicidas notificados al Sistema de Vigilancia Epidemiológica en el Departamento de Córdoba - Colombia durante el año 2022. La metodología empleada incluyó una revisión de los informes de casos notificados, seguida de un análisis descriptivo de la información. Los resultados del estudio revelaron que en 2022 se notificaron un total de 1,071 intentos de suicidio en Córdoba. La edad media de los afectados fue de 23.63 años, con una desviación estándar de ±12.43 años, siendo el grupo etario más afectado el de adolescentes de 11 a 19 años. Las mujeres representaron el 71.7% de los casos, con una tasa de 81.1 por 100,000 habitantes, mientras que los hombres presentaron una tasa de 32.4 por 100,000 habitantes. Montería concentró el 59.3% de los casos, y los municipios con las tasas de prevalencia más altas fueron Cereté y Sahagún. La mayoría de los afectados tenían educación secundaria incompleta, eran solteros y pertenecían al estrato socioeconómico 1. El análisis de las tendencias mostró un aumento en los intentos de suicidio a lo largo del año, con un pico en agosto con una menor frecuencia en enero y diciembre. Estos resultados dan pie a la implementación de estrategias de prevención e intervención dirigidas a los grupos más afectados, con el objetivo de reducir la prevalencia de estos eventos y mejorar la salud mental en el Departamento de Córdoba.This research focuses on the analysis of suicidal behavior in adolescents in the Department of Córdoba during the year 2022, using data provided by the Public Health Surveillance System (SIVIGILA). The general objective of this research is to determine the epidemiological behavior of suicide attempts reported to the Epidemiological Surveillance System in the Department of Córdoba, Colombia, during the year 2022. The methodology employed included a review of reported case reports, followed by a descriptive analysis of the information. The study results revealed that in 2022, a total of 1,071 suicide attempts were reported in Córdoba. The average age of those affected was 23.63 years, with a standard deviation of ±12.43 years, with the most affected age group being adolescents aged 11 to 19 years. Women represented 71.7% of the cases, with a rate of 81.1 per 100,000 inhabitants, while men had a rate of 32.4 per 100,000 inhabitants. Montería accounted for 59.3% of the cases, and the municipalities with the highest prevalence rates were Cereté and Sahagún. Most of the affected individuals had incomplete secondary education, were single, and belonged to socioeconomic stratum 1. Trend analysis showed an increase in suicide attempts throughout the year, with a peak in August and lower frequencies in January and December.
