Objetivo: Determinar el síndrome post cuidados intensivos en pacientes adultos que egresan de un servicio de terapia intensiva de una institución de alta complejidad, Montería 2024. Materiales y métodos: estudio cuantitativo descriptivo transversal. La población final del estudio fue de 158 pacientes de los cuales cumplían con los criterios de inclusión 22 pacientes. Para la recolección de la información se aplicaron 2 instrumentos: Cuestionario de características sociodemográficas y clínicas diseñada por el grupo investigador y el instrumento HABC-M validado al español. Resultados: A través de la escala HABC-M se logró identificar el síndrome post cuidados intensivos en función de las dimensiones afectadas y la puntuación general. Los resultados mostraron que el 77,3% de la muestra presentó el síndrome en un nivel global. En cuanto a las dimensiones específicas, el componente cognitivo se ubicó mayoritariamente en la categoría normal con un 63,6%. Para la dimensión funcional, el 40,9% de los adultos se situaron en la categoría moderada y el 31,8% en la categoría grave. En el componente psicológico, aunque la mayoría de la muestra presentó el síndrome, el 40,9% se ubicó en un nivel normal.Post-Intensive Care Syndrome is a phenomenon that has been increasing worldwide, with estimates suggesting that around 50% of patients discharged from an intensive care unit may experience the syndrome. Objective: To determine the postintensive care syndrome in adult patients discharged from an intensive care service of a high-complexity institution in Montería in 2024.
