The municipality of Valencia-Córdoba, was subject to these elements at the time of its configuration, among them is colonization, agrarian reform and conflicts over land. All these aspects are constituted as the referents of power and of the relationships that impact on the territory, for this reason Valencia was subject to rhythms that transformed the rural space, reverberating geohistorically from pre-Hispanic times, passing through the colony, the independence movements and the struggles for land in the twentieth century, as well as the violent actions of armed groups outside the law at the end of the twentieth century and, in the first two decades of the twenty-first century. The geohistorical processes are given by the reconstruction of the past through time and space, rescuing the characteristic elements of the territories. In the municipality of Valencia-Córdoba, the main factors that influenced the territorial configuration of rural areas during the 20th and early 21st centuries were analyzed, starting from conflicts over land, allowing us to think about the territories, to rethink prospectively, achieving vision the territories. The research was methodologically aligned through geohistorical methods starting from analyzing various, from bibliographic resources about the processes of colonization and conflicts over land. Similarly, the cartographic method was present to show the time series of the territorial configuration through rural property. Finally, the hermeneutical triangulation made it possible to take from the interviews and the bibliography elements that responded to the temporal analyzes of the territorial configuration. The research allows the understanding of the territorial configuration of the rural space of the municipality of Valencia-Córdoba. It is pertinent to analyze how the conflict over land since the end of the 19th century, during the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st, has influenced the transformation of rural space and, consequently, its territorial configuration.Introducción 13Capítulo I 241.
