Para ello, se realizó investigación documental a partir de la normatividad colombiana con respecto al tema, y publicaciones académicas en las que se incluyeron revistas nacionales e internacionales, algunos libros y tesis de grado, con el apoyo de diferentes gestores bibliográficos y a partir de unos criterios de búsqueda especificados con antelación, teniendo como guía los objetivos específicos que se enmarcaron en los aportes que ha proporcionado la auditoria en el contexto de la política de seguridad del paciente de las ESE. El estudio permitió establecer un panorama más profundo sobre los aportes de la auditoria como proceso de control y evaluación en el cumplimiento de la política de seguridad del paciente, detallando que el rol del auditor más allá de ser un ente que señala y demanda, exhorta al mejoramiento continuo y proporciona valor agregado al desarrollo de los diferentes procesos.In order to analyze information on the role of the auditor in compliance with the patient safety policy in first-level ESE-State Social Enterprises in Colombia, a compilation-type monograph was developed. For this, documentary research was carried out based on Colombian regulations regarding the subject, and academic publications in which national and international journals, some books and degree theses were included, with the support of different bibliographic managers and based on certain criteria. of search specified in advance, having as a guide the specific objectives that were framed in the contributions provided by the audit in the context of the ESE patient safety policy.
