To achieve the proposed objective, a methodology was implemented using geographic information technologies (TIG) and the multi-criteria analysis method. Throughout the writing, conceptual and theoretical bases on the processes carried out are denoted, as well as how they were executed and processed to arrive at the results obtained. The selection of the optimal site was achieved through the analysis of the variables identified for the installation of a wind farm, they were classified as skills and restrictions depending on the criteria. Subsequently, these criteria were evaluated, qualifying the ranges and assigning weights to each of them 0 for least significant and 1 for the most important, finally a summation of weighted weights is made in a map algebra process, among which we identified the optimal places.
