The central question guiding this study is, "How can critical content tasks help students decenter sexist discourses?" The investigation focuses on promoting awareness of diverse sexist behaviors towards both men and women. Employing critical content tasks involves presenting students with authentic materials addressing specific topics, thereby encouraging them to question, reflect upon, and criticize instances of sexism. By incorporating valuable content that contributes to students' development as informed citizens, this study seeks to facilitate a deeper understanding and reflection on issues related to sexism within the educational context.Abstract………………………………………………………………………………………2Introduction............................................................................................................... 4Conceptual Framework............................................................................................ 7TBL (Task-Based Learning)......................................................................... 7Characteristics of tasks in TBL ...................................................... 7Stages in a TBL Sequence.............................................................. 9Unstructured Tasks....................................................................... 10Critical Content Task..................................................................... 10Transgressive Pedagogies ........................................................................ 11Sexism……………………………………………………………………12Literature Review.................................................................................................... 13Methodology ........................................................................................................... 17Context and Participants ........................................................................... 17Study Design............................................................................................... 18Data Collection ........................................................................................... 19Data Analysis .............................................................................................. 23Findings................................................................................................................... 24Awareness of sexist discourses ............................................................... 24Behavior characteristics………………………………………………………..32Bibliography……………………..…………………………………………………………39application/pdfengCopyright Universidad de Córdoba, 2024Critical content tasks to de-center sexist discoursesTrabajo de grado - PregradoAtribución-NoComercial-SinDerivadas 4.0 Internacional (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0)info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSexismCritical content tasksAwarenessTransgressive pedagogiesUniversidad de CórdobaRepositorio Universidad de Córdobahttps://repositorio.unicordoba.edu.co/http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2
