Within this context, the pathology is related to psychological symptoms and alteration of biological patterns, among which stands out sad emotional state, high levels of tiredness, sleep disorders and involvement of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis. Objective: To describe the scientific publications related to nursing care in women with postpartum depression in the period between 2015 and 2020. Method: Narrative review of the literature that used the VHL, Scielo, ScienceDirect, Embase, Proquest, Pubmed databases during the years 2015 to 2020. Results: The sample consisted of 14 articles. For the analysis, the articles were categorized taking into account the similarity of the content, and two categories were constructed: assessment strategies used by Nursing for the detection and prevention of PPD and Nursing care in THE DPP. Conclusion: The role played by Nursing in prevention is related to the use of educational tools for maternal mental health, the promotion of healthy maternity habits such as moderate physical activity and the potentialization of family, conjugal and social support networks to contribute to the mother-child affective bond. Likewise, the detection role is aimed at the implementation of screening tests in primary care that allow early identification of cases of PPD. Nursing is endowed with knowledge, skills and abilities that allow it to care for women with mood disorders; among the nursing interventions, this review of the literature reports: individualized prenatal/postnatal follow-up that includes qualified listening and professional support, in addition to the use of Benson's relaxation technique has obtained positive results.RESUMEN.....................................................................................................6ABSTRACT...........................................................................................7INTRODUCCIÓN......................................................................................121.OBJETIVOS..........................................................................................161.1.
