Compile documentation on Violence Against Women (VAW), to analyze its evolution, norms and management strategies in Colombia. Methods. A narrative literature review was carried out through a systematic search in 10 databases; Dialnet, Redalyc, PubMed, Science Direct, Scopus, IBM Micromedex, JSTOR, Google Scholar, PubMed and BVS; In these, keywords in Spanish and English were used recommended by the descriptor in Health Sciences (DeCS), through the search equation "Violence AND woman" AND "Management" AND "Hospital Administration", in the level reports global, national or local. 98 documents were cited, including articles, reports or reports, standards and theses, which made up a sample distributed in four chapters. Results. For chapter 1, 66.66% of the consultations were research designed and implemented in America; 50% of the investigations were through probabilistic selection, and the rest, through nonprobabilistic selection, which almost always related qualitative studies. For chapter two, 45 norms (laws and decrees) are cited whose objectives, in general, are to protect the rights of women in society and establish intervention criteria in the case of vulnerable women and children. Six citations make up chapter three, which shows management models implemented in health institutes and some intervention plans for case management. Conclusions.
