Proporciona un alto contenido nutricional, cuyo grano no contiene fructosa, es altamente digerible, con bajo contenido en grasas, rico en carbohidratos, vitamina B, calcio, fósforo, hierro, sodio y potasio. Es uno de los principales productos agrícolas de varios países. En Colombia es cultivado en diferentes regiones, sin embargo, la productividad está condicionada a la disponibilidad de variedades adaptadas a las condiciones edafológicas y climáticas donde es producido y al manejo agronómico del cultivo. La práctica profesional de desarrolló en la empresa Agroconstrucciones Dajoma S.A.S en la finca la Zona ubicada en el municipio de Pueblo Nuevo en el departamento de Córdoba, Colombia. El objetivo principal fue, el acompañamiento del manejo agronómico, mediante las actividades de adecuación, establecimiento y supervisión de 185 hectáreas de arroz, variedad Fedearroz 473, a una densidad poblacional de 120 kg.ha-1 y su desempeño agronómico. Para ello se supervisaron las labores o actividades para el manejo agronómico del arroz como preparación de suelos, riego, siembra, fertilización, control de malezas, plagas y enfermedades. La experiencia y el resultado presentado y obtenido en la finca fueron positivos y el desempeño agronómico fue exhibido finalmente con un rendimiento promedio de 7,5 toneladas de arroz por hectárea para su comercialización e industrialización.Rice is one of the most important cereals for humanity, it is the staple food in many cultures; is the second this grain most cultivated cereal. The professional practice developed at the company Agroconstrucciones Dajoma S.A.S on the estate of the Zone located in the municipality of Pueblo Nuevo in the department of Córdoba, Colombia. The main objective was the adequacy, establishment and supervision of 185 hectares of rice with the genetic material or variety Fedearroz 473 at a population density of 120 kg.ha1 and its agronomic performance. A complex of activities were made for the agronomic management of rice as soil preparation, irrigation, planting, fertilization, weed control, pests and diseases.
