Metodología: se realizó un estudio descriptivo, cualitativo de tipo no experimental. Tamaño de la muestra 50 docentes de carrera de la facultad de Educación de la universidad objeto de estudio, la información se obtuvo utilizando el cuestionario de estrés laboral CEL de la OIT-OMS. Resultados: En la muestra objeto de estudio de la presente investigación, se evidenció que en su mayoría los docentes tienen edades entre 46 – 50 años, de sexo masculino, pertenecientes a estrato 4 y de los cuales la mayoría son residentes en el área urbana; además, de convivir por vivienda entre 1 – 5 personas, afiliados al régimen de salud contributivo, su estado civil la mayoría son casados, con un nivel educativo de magister, inscritos en el escalafón, con contratos de docentes de carrera, los cuales dedican tiempo completo al trabajo de docencia, con una contratación de docentes de planta, y con una categoría en el escalafón como profesor titular. Al analizar los factores de estrés laboral de los docentes, se evidencio un nivel bajo de estrés en la muestra participante de la presenta investigación, donde se obtuvo un promedio de factores de estrés de 59,7. Conclusión: los docentes objeto de estudio presentan un nivel bajo de estrés laboral.To identify the sources that generate work-related stress in the teachers of the university under study in order to develop recommendations for the prevention of this type of stress. Methodology: A descriptive, qualitative, non-experimental study was carried out. Sample size 50 career teachers of the faculty of Education of the university under study, the information was obtained using the ILO-WHO CEL work stress questionnaire. Results: In the sample under study of the present research, it was evidenced that most of the teachers are aged between 46 - 50 years, male, belonging to stratum 4 and of which most are residents in the urban area; In addition, they live with between 1 - 5 people per household, are affiliated to the contributory health system, most of them are married, with a master's degree level of education, registered in the hierarchy, with career teaching contracts, who devote full time to teaching work, with a contract as permanent teachers, and with a category in the hierarchy as a full professor. When analyzing the work stress factors of the teachers, a low level of stress was evidenced in the sample participating in the present research, where an average of stress factors of 59,7 was obtained.
